The world’s largest contiguous FSC® certified tropical hardwood concessions.
We manage 2.1 million hectares of forest concessions in the north of the Republic of Congo to the highest standards in line with the FSC® (Forest Stewardship Council). Our operations are spread over five locations: Pokola, Loundoungou, Kabo, North Pikounda and Mimbeli Ibenga.
Harvesting takes place in four concessions in which we produce products that are 100% certified by the FSC®. We maintain and a fifth concession in Pikounda as a conservation area where over 92,000 hectares are permanently preserved as part of the REDD+ programme in partnership with the Republic of Congo.
Living Landscapes Policy
Our Living Landscapes Policy sets out a vision for creating landscapes where prosperous farming, thriving rural communities and healthy ecosystems can coexist. In line with this approach, we have been a pioneer in responsible and sustainable forest management in the Congo Basin and have five forest management plans currently in place.
Sustainable & Responsible Forestry Management
We support the development and implementation of best harvesting practices, working closely with international industry and trade institutions such as the Association Technique Internationale des Bois Tropicaux (ATIBT). We’ve strong links with technology and research institutions, both in Europe and in the tropics, and regularly engage with scientific teams visiting the region.

Certification
The FSC® upholds a stringent set of requirements to obtain their certification. It focuses on specific areas which include compliance with laws, workers’ rights and employment conditions, indigenous peoples’ rights, community relations, benefits from the forest, environmental values and Impacts, management planning, monitoring and assessment, high conservation values, and implementation of management activities.
Our documents below detail how we operate in each of our concessions and contain certification for each.
