Launching This Year’s ‘Big Bake Initiative’ in Partnership with EAF
Accra, Ghana – Olam Agri, in partnership with Ennoble Africa Foundation (EAF), has commenced the latest phase of the ‘Big Bake Initiative’ in its quest to empower youth and women and foster resilient and thriving communities across Ghana.
This year’s programme takes a major step forward by offering vocational training and mentorship to a group of women from the Odorkor community in Accra, equipping them with baking and confectionery skills, as a pathway to entrepreneurship and sustainable livelihoods.

Olam Agri’s partner in the initiative, EAF, is a non-government organisation dedicated to the functional empowerment of youth, women and children through the promotion of social factors like education, access to information, health, the environment, housing and human rights.
Previous editions of the ‘Big Bake Initiative’ have positively impacted over 400 children and youth across the country and about 50 women have begun receiving practical, hands-on training in bakery, with plans to extend support to community members in the coming months.
This approach aligns closely with Olam Agri’s and its collaborator’s common mission of empowering individuals by providing practical skills, confidence, and opportunities that foster economic independence and community growth. During the latest programme, baked products were shared among over 100 children and attendees who participated.

The Big Bake Initiative perfectly embodies our commitment to creating sustainable value and enhancing lives within the communities we serve. By empowering these women with marketable skills and ongoing mentorship, we are fostering entrepreneurship and building a future where they can unlock their full potential and positively contribute to society.
