Driving Sustainable Impact Through Regenerative Organic Certification Implementation in Peru
Olam Agri has reaffirmed its commitment to sustainable agriculture and rural development through the successful implementation of the Regenerative Organic Certification (ROC) programme for its quinoa supply chain in Huamachuco, La Libertad (Peru). This is a significant milestone in its commitment to building more resilient and responsible food systems.
Launched in 2023, this initiative has been transforming the way smallholder farmers grow food, going beyond organic to promote healthier soils, increased biodiversity, carbon capture, and above all, fairness and dignity for those who work the land.

Working closely with 257 local producers, Olam Agri has provided tailored technical support, hands-on training, and certification assistance. As a result, these farmers are now fully certified under organic, Fairtrade, and ROC standards, unlocking access to high-value international markets and building more stable, sustainable sources of income.

ROC is not just a certification, it’s a transformation. By investing in farmers and ecosystems, we’re building a food system that’s fairer, more inclusive, and better for the planet.

The programme’s impact goes far beyond compliance. It represents a shift toward a holistic model of farming that empowers communities while restoring the land. Looking ahead, the company remains committed to scaling this model and expand the certified acreage in its ROC portfolio.
