Premium Supplier of Pulses
We supply pulses and dahls to our customers across the Asia Pacific, sourcing pulses in Australia to meet diverse customer needs and to offer added value. We also process chickpeas and mung beans. We have long-standing supplier relationships, which together with our strong presence on the ground, offer strong market insight and help us effectively manage our customer supply and demand.
Partnering for Success
With stringent quality checks in place, we’re able to source with traceability from both small and large-scale sesame farmers. We have a strong partnership network, with procurement offices in Africa and India, and representatives and agents in other countries of origin, including Ethiopia. Our experience in sustainability programme management and strategic partnerships with government agencies, NGOs and the larger farming community, helps us keep our sesame eco-system up to speed with relevant information, expertise and developing technology to improve yields, quality and incomes.
Sesame Processing Capabilities
In some locations, sesame seeds are still harvested manually and separated from their husks using traditional methods. Seeds produced this way can contain impurities, so we’ve set up primary cleaning centres to guarantee clean sesame. For hulled or edible grade sesame used as ingredients in kitchens and bakeries, we’ve established local processing plants.
In Nigeria, we process sesame in state-of-the-art facilities, to meet the highest food safety standards our global customers expect. We have a custom-designed processing plant at Sagamu, Nigeria, which meets both FSSC 22000 and OHSAS 18001-2007 certification.

As part of our ongoing commitment to both sustainability and innovation, the technology the plant uses has decreased water consumption by up to 95%. Dry hulling also increases food safety, as contaminated water is the source of most potential pathogens.
Organic Superfood Supply
Our superfoods include white, red, black and tricolour quinoa varieties, and black and white chia seeds, and we’ve invested to expand our capabilities and capacity to meet the growing demand for quinoa and chia seeds.
Our high food quality and safety, along with our transparent, traceable and sustainable product differentiates our business. We have established direct relationships with farmers in quinoa and chia-growing regions in Peru, working closely with our growing communities to make a positive impact, with 2,081 quinoa and chia farmers AtSource+ certified, with our organic supply chain totalling over 2,500 farmers.
We’re honoured that our business has been selected as a flagship project by the Food Action Alliance for our work with local nutritionists, female farmers, and farming communities. With support from USAID, we’re training smallholder quinoa farmers to build their sustainable organic capacity enabling them to achieve organic and AtSource+ certification and increase their yield by 10% on average.
