Sesame Processing Capabilities
<span class="p2">For hulled or edible grade sesame used as ingredients in kitchens & bakeries, we’ve established mechanised processing plants. Most sesame is harvested manually and separated from their husks using traditional methods. Seeds produced this way can contain impurities, so we’ve set up multiple primary cleaning centres to guarantee clean sesame.</span>

Improving <span class="txt-yellow">Livelihoods</span>

<span class="p2">In efforts to improve the livelihoods of farming communities, we are working towards fighting anemia and malnutrition. In collaboration with local health posts, we are training quinoa farming communities on nutrition, carrying out healthy cooking workshops and screening children for anemia, stunting and wasting. Moreover, we have implemented community vegetable gardens to increase their availability of nutritious food. In addition, through our partnership with the NGO Baika, we have donated more than 100 bicycles along with helmets to school-going children in Puno, helping reduce their journey to school.</span>
