<span class="txt-orange">New Reforestation & Community Development Project Launched</span> in Côte d'Ivoire with GPSNR & AGROMAP
<span class="p2">Olam Agri's rubber business in Côte d'Ivoire has marked the official launch of a GPSNR-funded reforestation and community development project spanning the Indénié-Djuablin, Guémon, Cavally, and Moronou regions. </span>

<span class="p2">The official launch ceremony was held in Zinzenou (Abengourou) on 30 July 2026, bringing together the Minister of Environment and Ecological Transition, administrative and customary authorities, technical partners, and project beneficiaries. The event featured a beneficiary awareness session and an inaugural tree planting on one of the project sites, setting a tangible marker for the work ahead.</span>
<span class="p2">"Every tree planted today is an investment in our economy, our agriculture, and future generations." , said The Minister of Environmental and Ecological, “every tree matters!”.</span>

<span class="p2">Launched in December 2025 by Olam Agri Rubber Côte d'Ivoire, the project is funded by tyre companies through the Global Platform for Sustainable Natural Rubber (GPSNR) Shared Investment Mechanism, and implemented with the support of Ivorian firm AGROMAP NBS. Over the next two years, the project will support the planting of 250,000 fruit and forest trees across the Indénié-Djuablin, Moronou, Cavally, and Guémon regions, directly benefiting more than 4,000 community members, nearly 50% of whom are women. Beyond reforesting unused or degraded land, the initiative aims to create new economic opportunities for women and youth in natural rubber-producing communities, while strengthening local knowledge of sustainable natural resource management in the face of climate change.</span>
