Olam Agri Champions Hope: Employees Rally to Brighten Lives at Local Orphanages
Our workforce steps up to make a difference.
Cameroon
Employees of Olam Agri, a leading agribusiness in food, feed, and fiber, have ignited a beacon of hope this holiday season. Their unwavering commitment to community welfare shines through as they generously donate new and fairly used items to support two local orphanages in Cameroon.
The campaign, aptly named the “End of Year Donation” drive, transcends mere charity. It’s a powerful testament to Olam Agri’s core values which include helping the people along its supply chain. As the year draws to a close, the employees enthusiastically participated in the donation drive, demonstrating their individual and collective commitment to impacting the environment and society positively.
The Beneficiaries; St. Arnile Marie Handicap Orphanage Center and Grace of God Orphanage nestled in the heart of Bonaberi and Bekoko, receive the fruits of this benevolence. Their shelves now bear the weight of assorted domestic treasures: clothing, footwear, toys, school supplies, daily necessities and Olam Agri flagship brand products (Riz Bijou and Bijou Mammy). But beyond material goods, these gifts carry a promise of brighter tomorrow for over 200 orphaned and handicapped children.
The donation drive, which commenced in November, has blossomed into a symphony of goodwill. Olam Agri officials emphasise that this initiative isn’t just about giving back—it’s about creating lasting change. By empowering their team to actively contribute, they’re nurturing a culture of compassion and responsibility.
Our employees are our greatest asset. Their enthusiastic participation in this noble cause warms our hearts. Together, we’re not just donating items and food produce; we’re sowing seeds of hope for the future. We trust that the donated items will meet the immediate needs of the children and improve their living conditions substantially.
Olam Agri remains committed to driving socially responsible initiatives and endeavours to continue supporting local communities through similar initiatives in the future.

Madam Anne Marie Mbongo St. Arnile Marie Handicap orphanage also shared her gratitude to Olam Agri and the employees. She said ‘’These items mean the world to us,” her eyes shining with emotion… “Our little ones deserve dignity and joy especially in these trying times when we just lost our founder and mother. Your kindness ensures they feel cherished and cared for this Christmas and in 2024. From all of us at the orphanage, thank you.”
As the year draws to a close, Olam Agri’s “End of year Donation Drive” campaign stands as a beacon of hope. It’s a reminder that small acts of kindness can transform lives, one child at a time. Join us in spreading hope this season. Together, we can make a difference!
