As the first corporate signatory to Thailand's ‘<a href="https://www.asean-agrifood.org/press-release-thai-government-ministries-cooperate-towards-ghg-emissions-reduction-from-rice-farming/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Thai Rice NAMA</a>’ initiative, we're proud to be a leader in reducing greenhouse gas emissions and promoting sustainable farming practices. Our efforts have directly helped over 30,000 farmers improve their livelihoods and protect the environment for future generations since 2016. We were highly commended at the Reuters Responsible Business Awards 2023 for our ability to produce and show impact on livelihoods and communities.

Pioneering Programmes

We’re proud to lead the largest Sustainable Rice Platform (SRP) project in the world. Our programme in the Northeast Provinces of Ubon Ratchathani and Surin reaches over 19,000 farmers and is the world's first large-scale, climate-smart, and sustainable programme for <a href="/products-services/rice">rice</a>.

In 2019, our operations became a fully audited and certified programme to deliver rice under the SRP banner, with almost 30,000 MT of premium Thai Hom Mali certified paddy rice. In 2023, the project was highly commended in the Social Impact category at the Reuters Responsible Business Awards.

Building on Our Success

We will further expand the scope of the programme to transform the Thai rice value chain for environmental sustainability by upscaling sustainable rice farming practices through an Integrated Landscape Management approach. Under Inclusive Sustainable Rice Landscape (ISRL), we aim to improve lives of an additional 20,000 farmers in the northeast of Thailand.
